Water Well

Clean water is the source of life and a basic necessity. Millions of people around the world still lack access to safe drinking water.

Hundreds of millions of people around the world lack access to clean and safe water. Especially in rural areas of Africa, women and children are forced to walk for hours every day in scorching heat just to fetch a bucket of water from muddy ponds or dried-up riverbeds. Consuming this contaminated water leads to deadly epidemics such as typhoid, cholera, and dysentery. As the Paye Humanitarian Aid Association, we access clean underground water sources through deep drilling and are transforming the lives of villages with the durable wells we build.

How Do We Work? (Launch Process and Transparency)

Deep Drilling and Infrastructure: Deep wells are drilled to prevent contamination of surface water, and durable piping and filtration systems are installed. Depending on the need, either a hand-pump-operated mechanical system or a tank-and-fountain system is constructed.

Sign and Inauguration: The name(s) specified by the donor are engraved on a permanent sign, and the well is entrusted to the village community following an inauguration ceremony attended by local residents.

Video Delivery: A detailed video recording and photos of the opening ceremony are sent to our donor.
